Last night was so good!

The growing connection in this new chapter, the music and worship that unites us, and the shared moments of writing from the depth of our lives.

Here are some concluding thoughts from last night.

Every time you suffer, you can rise.

Every time it gets hard, you can move forward.

Every time it feels like its over, you can begin again.

Every time you want to shut down, you can open back up.

Every time you want to quit, you can keep going.

You can be in process, and still experience God’

You can be in process, and still experience God’s presence.

You can be uncertain about your beliefs, and still confident in God’s love.

You can wrestle with what you believe and still travel on the way of Jesus.

Christ is found in the cracks, the Divine is at wo

Christ is found in the cracks, the Divine is at work in the daily, grace is born in the ground, and the Spirit is alive in the small.

What a night! We explored together how doubting,

We explored together how doubting, questioning, and wrestling are not obstacles to faith, they’re companions of faith.

We then wrote about all of our doubts, questions, and ways we struggle with God, read them out loud and placed them in the Bible to see how they are all a part of God’s story.

We finished by proclaiming that;

You can be in process, and still experience God’s presence.

You can be uncertain about your beliefs, and still confident in God’s love.

You can wrestle with what you believe and still travel on the way of Jesus.

Tomorrow night!

Excited to be back together again as we talk about how doubting, questioning, and wrestling are not obstacles to faith, but instead, are companions of faith.

If you’ve been thinking about coming, but haven’t made it to new location yet, tomorrow night is your night.

In order to believe that I’m deeply loved by God, I first need to experience truly being seen by another.

Cannot believe we are already going to be back tog

Cannot believe we are already going to be back together tomorrow night!

6 pm back at Box Jelly.

We will be in our beautiful new space, singing and listening together as the sun sets, and exploring how the Spirit is always way out ahead waiting for humanity to catch up.

There is a movement from passivity to power. When

There is a movement from passivity to power.

When this starts to happen, life no longer feels like a divine tight rope or morality test, but a cosmic dance we enter into where we have the freedom to twirl to however the sound of the Spirit moves us.

We are called forward to move from obedience to a commanding God, to innovation and creativity with a Present Spirit.

One of the exciting things about meeting back together is that our podcast is back!

For the people who have always tuned in from a distance, and for the people locally who are staying connected to Imagine’s journey and hoping to join in when the time is right, we invite you to stay close through the podcast.

Please remember that as we re-open, we have temporary requirement for for proof of vaccination or negative COVID tests to come into Box Jelly’s space.

They have requirements in place, and we are respecting those and embracing that while we are here, as we figure out a way forward long term.

While people might be sick of organized religion, no one is tired of hearing about good news. And we believe the story of Christ is the best news you will ever hear.

We believe the gospel is about is the spiritual and the material, about joy and justice, that its about lifting up broken hearts and tearing down broken systems. That Christ is as deep as the human heart and as wide as the universe.

We believe that truth is not about being right, its about being real.

We believe Jesus never challenged people for widening the circle of inclusion, only those who were trying to make it smaller, which is why in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, we live lives of welcome, acceptance, and grace.

It’s not that we don’t believe in God, it’s that we don’t believe in that version of God that is so exclusive. It’s not that we don’t love Jesus, it’s that we don’t love the Jesus that inspires so much of the hatred and exclusion that Christianity has become known for.

It’s not that we’re losing our faith, it’s that our faith itself is making us refuse to be a part of churches that are more concerned with maintaining the status quo and obeying laws than re-imagining our faith and living in love.

As we prepare to re-open, we are looking ahead to the new stories, to the new possibilities, to the new life in Christ, and to the new beginnings.
